Thanks to Tiger Band alum David Hobbs for submitting this picture and information! 

He says that this picture was taken at the LSU-Alabama game in 1978.  The trombonist on the left side, below the person in the striped shirt, is Byron Como.  Below Byron and diagonally to the right is Bobby Axtell.  In the middle row of bandmembers is Bill Churchville (played lead trumpet for Tower of Power), Paul Taranto (son of Vernon Taranto, Sr.,  founder of the Baton Rouge Concert Band), and Charlie Gates (trumpet professor at Ole Miss).  The saxophonist with the beard sitting directly above Charlie Gates is James Sharrock.  David Hobbs, the trumpet player who submitted this photo, is standing next to Charlie Gates.  Below David Hobbs and to the right of him is Tim Albrecht, who was also in the trumpet section.  

David also says that Nick Rouse and James Geideman were the band directors at this time.  He believes that Mike Breaux was the Drum Major and Bill Dupuy was Mike the Tiger.  Other members of the band staff at the time were Debbie Campbell, Derle Long, Brenda Sylvest (head Tigerette), Roger Burge, Richard Bresowar, Teri Bromelsiek, Richard Brown, and John Wren.
